Climbing in South Australia all began here, and for many Adelaide climbers it is the first place they try climbing in the outdoors. It is still Adelaide’s most popular climbing area.
Quartzite cliffs about 30 minutes drive from the city centre are a perfect place to go for all different levels of climbing in the long summer evenings after work. The hardest choice is choosing which crag to visit.
See the Rockclimbing around Adelaide guide by Paul Badenoch and Luke Adams for more information, available in outdoor stores and online.
