Crag care is back! The UniSA guys are coming to join us too!
When?
Sunday 9th November, 2014. Meet at 9:30am at the car parking near gate #17 on Norton Summit Road. Work will finish at 12pm but bring some lunch and stay for an afternoon climb.
What will we be doing?
Finally a change in venue. It’s blackberry season and we’ll be attacking the small patches on blackberries above Far Crag. If enough folks come out we may even split and have a team go down and attack the patches at the base of the cliffs.
We’ll be cutting and swabbing the blackberry and doing our best to ensure it is removed from the area. There will be a brief demonstration on how to do this at 9:30 and then we will be going for it.
What do I bring?
Sturdy shoes, hat, water, morning tea and for those working at the base of the cliffs helmets. Don’t forget your gear and some lunch if you intend to stay for an afternoon climb!
If a Total Fire Ban is declared for Sunday (ie severe, extreme or catastrophic fire ban alert) the event will not go ahead.
Can we count on you? Please email Crag Care to let us know if we can so we ensure we have enough tools for everyone.
